Charlotte Lyones Physiotherapist

Charlotte has completed an MSc in Advanced Physiotherapy at the University of Hertfordshire with MACP accreditation in 2020. She is a member of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP). Charlotte initially completed her Physiotherapy BSc with honours at the University of Hertfordshire in 2004 when she qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist. She has 16 years of clinical experience and has worked in the NHS, Military and private practice.

Over her years of working as a Physiotherapist, Charlotte has specialised in the field of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. She has developed a specialist interest in treating sports injuries and injury prevention. Another area of special interest is in shoulder assessment and rehabilitation. She can assess and provide treatment and advice for all acute and chronic (short and long-term) bone, muscular and joint problems. She is also qualified in the use of acupuncture and is a member of the AACP (Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists).

Charlotte has attended many post-graduate courses to continually develop her clinical skills to be able to provide current evidence-based practice. She has additional training in the treatment and management of a wide range of spinal and other musculoskeletal conditions. When treating patients' Charlotte uses manual therapy techniques, soft tissue massage, specific exercise programmes including movement control, electrotherapy and acupuncture.

Charlotte is a keen sportswoman and she practices martial arts, participates in long-distance running and horse riding.
