Iona Holland BSc (Hons) MCSP

Iona Holland physio at St Judes Clinic for web Iona trained at the University of Hertfordshire and qualified in 2012 as a Chartered Physiotherapist. She began her career in the NHS as a rotational physiotherapist, gaining experience in a variety of   both inpatient and outpatient settings, before specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. This includes bone, muscular and joint problems.

 Since then, Iona has worked with a broad range of musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, including sports injuries and post-operative rehabilitation, as well as more persistent problems such as   recurrent lower back and nerve pain. She has a special interest in the management of shoulder pain.

 Iona continues to develop her clinical skills and practice through attending post graduate courses. She aims to help patients prevent their problems reoccurring as well as helping them reduce their   current symptoms.  Iona’s physiotherapy management uses manual therapy techniques, soft tissue massage, specific exercise prescription, taping and electrotherapy. She is also qualified as an   aquatic therapist, which involves physiotherapy exercise and movement techniques in the water.

 In her spare time, Iona enjoys being outdoors, baking and reading. She also enjoys regularly going to the gym.
