Jo joined the team at St Judes Clinic recently and specialises in the musculoskeletal field having qualified at The University of Manchester in 2002. Alongside her extensive orthopaedic and musculo-skeletal experience she is a fully certified APPI Pilates Instructor and she practices acupuncture. Jo also works in Women's Health, working with ladies experiencing continence problems, chronic pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse and issues post pregnancy/childbirth.

She has worked in a variety of settings, including both the NHS and private practice and comes to us after 8 years at Spire Harpenden Hospital where she worked in both the inpatient and outpatient settings, rehabilitating patients with bone, muscle or joint conditions and following orthopaedic surgery for example after hip/knee replacements and post-op spinal/shoulder conditions. Jo also ran successful clinical Pilates classes and is a McKenzie certified therapist and successfully uses this method in the treatment of back pain alongside the use of Pilates and acupuncture.

Jo is also experienced in the treatment of pregnancy related pelvic girdle pain and enjoys using her Women's Health training with ladies post-natally to help them recover from the effects of pregnancy and birth. She uses antenatal and postnatal Pilates as part of her treatment sessions in addition to manual therapy and taping techniques. She has a particular interest in treating running related injuries and post-operative conditions.

You can see Jo at St Judes on Mondays and Tuesdays.
