Rachel Fawcett BSc Sports Science and PE, Massage Therapist

Rachel Fawcett new Massage Therapist at St Judes

After graduating from Loughborough University with a BSc in Sports Science and PE, Rachel joined the Army and spent 16 years serving all over the world.  She then qualified as a Personal Trainer with Referred Populations running numerous boot camps and post natal fitness classes.

Rachel is a keen runner and enjoys being out on trails and in 2013 started competing in Ultra Marathons.  It was this exposure to extreme endurance competition which prompted her to look harder at how to prevent and treat injury, eventually leading to her completing a Level 5 Diploma in Sports Massage and Soft Tissue Therapy with the Oxford School of Sports Massage.

She now combines her love of sport and running with massaging and rehabilitating others. She can treat sports, occupational and postural pain and discomfort through massage and soft tissue techniques.  Through her rehabilitation, she helps get people back to their sport, make their working lives more comfortable or simply keep them doing what they love!  Rachel also occasionally writes for Outdoor Fitness magazine on the topic of running.

You can see Rachel at St Judes Clinic on Wednesdays.
