Reflexology has been practised for years in different cultures and fields and is becoming widely recognised in the medical field, as a therapy to help promote relaxation and general well-being.

Maintaining a sense of well-being is a key element of how to combat illness and disease.

Physical ailments can often manifest after periods of mental and emotional stress and pressure. The impact of this can be reduced by maintaining the physical body by receiving treatments such as Reflexology.

Reflexology has been recognised as therapy which can deeply relax a client and provide a method to help the body find homeostasis and kick start the healing process. The application of pressure techniques and massage are applied to the nerve ending of the feet which correspond to different organs and systems within the body.

A professional Reflexologist may feel and identify areas on the feet that show there is something out of balance within the client’s body. Reflexology is not a therapy that can diagnose a condition or illness.

Symptoms such as headaches, digestive issues and disturbed sleep patterns are ailments that Reflexology can help with by improving circulation of oxygen and lymph. This process helps to eliminate toxins from the system that can often be the cause of discomfort.

Benefits - The application of firm and gently massage promotes a general feeling of relaxation, clients often feel that they can enter into a deep sleep during the treatment and feel rejuvenated and a sense of calmness. This feeling of calmness and balance may last for a few days after a treatment.

Another benefit that many clients comment on that it aids their sleep, which is a huge contributing factor to maintaining health and allowing the body to rest and recover from the day.

Treatments - A Reflexology treatment lasts 45 minutes, during this time both the Right and Left foot are worked on, massage of the calf is also carried out. You are seated on a recliner chair or a massage couch with cushions and blankets for your comfort.

Having monthly Reflexology treatments provides you with a well-being MOT to help keep fatigue and stress at bay.  A course of 5 treatments is recommended to address acute conditions and symptoms.
